PaRappa the Rapper, released on PS1 in 1997, is an unusual game created by NanaOn-Sha studio. Plot The main character of PaRappa the Rapper is a rapping dog, who wants to impress his colleague named Sunny Funny. However, Joe Chin, a rich and narcissistic dog who likes the same girl, stands on his way. In order to win the heart of Sunny Funny, Parappa starts learning kung-fu and tries to get a driving license. Mechanics PaRappa the Rapper, released on PS1, is one of the first contemporary rhythm games that has paved the way for titles such as Beatmania and Guitar Hero. The production consists of six story-driven levels, during which the main character has to repeat the rap sequences after his master. The player's task is to press the buttons displayed on the screen at the right moment. The more accurate the player is, the better the rating they receive. You can get the highest score only during the second playthrough and after you unlock the special phase of the game, in which, instead of pressing the buttons appearing on the screen, you press a secret combination that gives you extra points.
