Many races take part in urban areas, thus the player needs to pay attention to heavy traffic. In terms of driving physics, Burnout is typically arcade ? handling is intuitive. Boost is a useful addition that can be activated from time to time. In order to refill the bar, the player has to perform hazardous maneuvers, such as near misses for instance. Interestingly, the player can watch a replay of a crash from several different camera angles. It is also worth mentioning that the game features advanced AI of the virtual opponents. However, they happen to bump into different vehicles passed on the way sometimes. Burnout for PS2, GCN and XBX offers high-quality visuals. Contrary to the Xbox edition, both the versions for PS2 and GameCube were gifted with improved handling precision. Two players at maximum can face each other in duels.
