The plot of the game refers to the original threads invented over 20 years earlier. The damaged alien reconnaissance ship, which crashed on Earth, manages to extract weapon construction plans. It is intended to help defend against the invaders from the Cosmos. In 1978 The Tank prevents alien invasion, but the cannon is destroyed. 20 years later, the military decide to rebuild unearthly weapons. This happens at the right moment, as the hordes of aliens are already approaching the solar system. The gameplay in the new version of Space Invaders does not differ significantly from the original. The player directs a futuristic cannon, and his task is to shoot down the clouds of alien ships. The novelty is that it is necessary to defend not only the Earth but also the neighbouring planets. In total, the creators designed as many as 100 levels, where you can find four basic types of invaders (yellow, blue, red and green) as well as seven less common ones. The challenge is mother-ships. Hitting them unlocks special abilities like shields or double shots. The Tank can shoot with lasers, rockets and neutron missiles, and changing weapons is a bonus for knocking down 4 enemy ships of the same type in a row. After defeating several waves of invaders, you have to face bosses, which together there are ten in the game. Compared to the original, the game has a much better graphic design, including the 3D view option. The creators of Space Invaders have also foreseen the possibility of having fun together for two players in cooperation mode, as well as changing the level of difficulty of the game.
