Patapon Remastered for PS4 is an upgraded edition of Patapon, which was originally released for PSP. Plot The Patapons are the members of a dying society, who need to take care of their further survival in the face of danger. The creatures — each of them basically consisting of an eye with small arms and legs — arm themselves with swords, spears, and arrows, and embark on a dangerous journey to earn what they deserve. It is up to the player whether they will succeed or not. Mechanics The gameplay in Patapon Remastered for PS4 focuses on leading a group of the warrior creatures and facing adversities, which include enemies big and small. You issue orders by pressing the pad buttons to the rhythm of music to create a given sequence. Depending on the melody you play, your army can move forwards, assume a defensive stance or attack. It can also perform a combo that boosts efficiency. To succeed in the game you need a good sense of rhythm and quick decision-making skills, as the gameplay pace is very fast.
