Whispers of a Machine is a classic adventure game released on PC. It is the result of cooperation between Clifftop Games (known from Kathy Rain) and Faravid Interactive (The Samaritan Paradox). At some point, the humanity has realized that they are only a step from the arrival of an AI superintelligence the moment when the AI becomes more clever than any human being and begins to create their own artificial intelligence, causing the entire civilization to change. This could lead to mankind being sidelined, so it was decided to delete all AI. This has led to a collapse in economic and technological development around the world, but it was considered to be a price worth paying to avoid a disaster. The plot of Whispers of a Machine starts decades after this event. We play as a woman named Vera, who works as an investigator in a federal security agency. She is sent to a small town of Nordsund with a mission to investigate a series of mysterious murders. The heroine will soon get right the middle of a secret war waged between people afraid of technology and religious fanatics who want to force the AI superintelligence to come these people believe that the AI can be the only true deities in a world that have long since abandoned faith. Mechanics Whispers of a Machine, released on PC, is a classic adventure game. While playing, we explore locations, conduct conversations, collect items and solve logical puzzles. The game only tests our cleverness and memory. There are no dexterity-based challenges here. The campaign is largely non-linear and our choices ultimately lead to one of several alternative endings.
