Game description:
Sid Meier's Civilization Chronicles is nothing more than a unique set of title, adored by crowds of players around the world. The compilation includes nine titles of the legendary Sida Meier production, and a wide range of add-ons have been prepared especially for fans. Sid Meier's Civilization is the first part of the cycle born in 1991, which from the spot conquered the hearts of computer explorers and prepared the ground for the next editions. A strategic-economic game that allows us to freely control the development of the entire civilization in the military, economic and cultural sphere from 4000 BC until the 20th century. A player can manage all aspects of the state's activities, can take the path of peaceful development of his nation by putting all efforts in science and culture, or focus on military conquest. To sum up, there is no specific way to win. Our duties include the expansion of the army, the creation and development of cities, building wonders of the world, inventing new technologies, managing a country's foreign policy, establishing its political system, dealing with trade and waging great wars. Sid Meier's Civilization II is a long-awaited continuation of the hit. Once again, the aim of the game is to create a world empire by taking key decisions concerning population, economy and politics. Beginning with the foundation of a small prehistoric settlement, you have to defeat the other superpowers in the face of the greatest leaders in history. Develop technologies up to the level of early space flights, which will allow you to master not only the Earth but also the cosmos. Sid Meier's Civilization II: Conflicts in Civilization Scenarios is the first official supplement to Civilization II. The collection contains twenty new scripts, prepared by both game creators and fans, as well as premiere music pieces. The scenarios proposed by MicroProse programmers are dominated by skirmishes referring to historical conflicts, such as the American Civil War, Alexander the Great's conquests, crusades or World War I. This does not mean, however, that we will not find fantastic missions here, quite the contrary. Players bored with classic conquests can try to stop the invasion of extraterrestrial beings, or restore decent living conditions after nuclear destruction. Sid Meier's Civilization II: Fantastic Worlds is the second and last formal add-on to Civilization II. This time the authors decided to apply a dozen or so additional scenarios based on fantasy and science fiction. The expansion enriches the basic version of the game with nineteen premiere missions taking place in different mythical worlds (Midgard, Atlantis), using stories known from literature (Julius Verne), or referring to other computer games by MicroProse (Master of Magic, Master of Orion, X-Com). In order to reflect the climate of individual "war theatres", the authors have contributed to the creation of many new units. Civilization II: Test of Time is the next installment of the series created at the turn of the century. The game has not changed fundamentally in comparison with its original. Our task is still to create the most powerful civilisation, which we can achieve, among other things, by: conquest of other countries, development of economy and economy of the chosen nation, diplomacy and development of trade and science. The program offers us improved graphics and more extensive options. Sid Meier's Civilization III, i.e. the third part of the cycle released shortly after Test of Time. Compared to its predecessor, some aspects of the game have been improved. Commanders of our troops gain experience with subsequent battles, thanks to which their combat skills increase. The rules of the control areas of the units in question have been changed, which has increased the importance of mobile and long-range firing units, such as catapults, artillery and warships. The sphere of politics and diplomacy has also been modified accordingly. Sid Meier's Civilization III: Play the World is an official extension of Civilization III, complementing the competition for competition on the local network and the Internet in several modes: Elimination, Domination, Regicide, King of the Mountain. We can play with friends in three different ways, i.e. by giving orders alternately, simultaneously or in turnless mode. In addition, Play the World diversifies the full version of the game thanks to the implementation of eight new civilizations, eight new rulers, each with different characteristics and skills (including Genghis Khan Temujin, Hannibal, Queen Isabella, King Brennus). Sid Meier's Civilization III: Conquests is the second official addition to the third part of the Civilization, allowing players to take part in the eight largest conquests known from the history of our civilization, including the conquest of Mesopotamia or America. In each of the eight campaigns prepared by the authors, we take care of one of the eight new, powerful nations (including the Sumerians and the Maya). Each of these nations has its own powerful leader, unique units (e.g. Sumerian Enkidu Warrior, Trebuchet), technology and special skills or qualities. In addition, the possibilities of the game have been extended by a number of new features. Sid Meier's Civilization IV is number four on the list of civilizations from Sid Meier. In this version, the time has come for revolutionary changes, both in terms of the visual side of the programme and its content. As far as this first factor is concerned, Firaxis Games developers used a three-dimensional Gamebryo engine that also powered their previous product, Sid Meier's Pirates! Thanks to him, many animated objects have appeared on the map of the world, e.g. animals, which react vividly to the development of new metropolises. Of course, there is also the possibility of operating the camera suspended above the ground, which allows you to see a selected part of the world, not only from any angle, but also in a large close-up and distance. All the wonders of the world will now be perfectly visible on the main map, so that the player will not have to dig through the list of cities to find them. Purchasers of Sid Meier's Civilization Chronicles will also find in their Civilization: The Card Game box a card game with over 250 types of cards to choose from, by Soren Johnson (one of the main creators of Civilization IV), based on the rules of the electronic equivalent. You can also relax by watching the bonus DVD, including interviews on the fourth part of the series or read a one hundred-page book to the pillow, enriching your knowledge about the history of the whole series. For the sake of completeness, we have prepared printed technology trees for each of the nine titles, desktop wallpapers, music tracks and many other materials.
