The expansion was developed by the creators of the base game, EA DICE. It is the final DLC that is a part of the season pass for the game. MechanicsAs the title of the expansion suggests, it offers the owners of Star Wars: Battlefront an additional content related to the movie Rogue One: A Star Wars Story that is a spin-off of the cult science fiction saga created in 1977 by George Lucas. The mechanics of the expansion are same as in the mother game and in the previous expansions. The title introduces new multiplayer maps, new heroes, star cards and previously unavailable weapons. Among the new playable characters there is the new main villain from the movie, director Krennic who is played by Ben Mendelsohn.
