The authors introduced an extensive training mode that makes it easier for the beginner players to enter the world of the game, while more advanced players can focus on rising through the further steps of their military careers. Technical AspectsThe expansion uses Microsoft Flight Simulator X as a base, yet Combat Pilot is not a simple add-on. The authors have introduced a number of new features to the already-complex FSX engine, including dedicated servers, AI-controlled air control towers, or advanced radio communication. Moreover, the game contains numerous models, maps, or special effects that should satisfy every aviation fan.
