Track Lab is a music creation tool developed by the independent Little Chicken Game Company. The title uses both virtual reality goggles and motion controllers. MechanicsIn Track Lab we find ourselves in a virtual space, which we observe from the perspective of the first person (FPP). The songwriting process is intuitive we place bubbles on a luminous line rolling around circles corresponding to specific sounds; when a ray of light reaches a specific bubble, the sound behind it is played. But that's not all, because the light beam can be divided and inverted using so-called "prisms", which allows you to create loops and increasingly complex songs. In addition, the authors provide us with various mixers allowing us to change the tone or even combine several songs. In this way we can compose songs from the borderland of techno and trance, as well as hip-hop or even rock songs. Game modesIn the meanders of Track Lab we are introduced to a special mode called Evolver, in which we solve specific puzzles all in order to learn the music patterns and the use of individual tools. After completing it, we can free our creativity in the Creation Mode module, in which the creators do not impose any restrictions on us. Technical aspectsThe graphic design for Track Lab is simple, but thanks to its unique design it looks pleasing to the eye. Of course, it's not the most important thing here the leading role in this production is played by an extensive audio layer.
