The Dark Eye: Book of Heroes is an isometric RPG using the license of the The Dark Eye (in original Das Schwarze Auge) tabletop RPG system. The game was developed by Finnish studio Random Potion Oy, for which it was the debut project, and published by Wild River Games. The Dark Eye: Book of Heroes takes us to Aventuria, a land inspired by the Europe at the turn of the Middle Ages and the Renaissance, but inhabited by fantastic creatures. Mechanics Gameplay in The Dark Eye: Book of Heroes uses a proven formula from classic RPGs. We observe the action from above, and the fun comes down to exploring dungeons. In these we will find valuable treasures, but also various monsters and traps. To face the challenges ahead, we need to create a hero by choosing one of four races, twelve professions and rich personalization options with Inrah cards. The game takes place in real time, and we can use various weapons and magic in combat. Game modes The game enables us to play both solo and in a larger group in the online cooperation mode. Technical aspects The Dark Eye: Book of Heroes offers three-dimensional visuals complemented by a soundtrack created by Winifred Phillips, a composer known fo omGod of War and Assassin's Creed III. An additional attraction are the graphics on cards, prepared by artists responsible for the visual layer of The Dark Eye tabletop game.
