Lobotomy Corporation – Monster Management Simulation is an unique strategy game with rougelike elements. The player assumes the role of the employee of the titular firm which takes care of the monsters living in a secret complex. The game was inspired by movies such as Cabin in the Woods and Warehouse 13 and was developed by Project Moon, an independent studio. PlotThe titular firm works in the energy department and takes care of mining unlimited amounts of entropy from isolated “anomalies” – the monsters inhabiting the complex – using dedicated technology. The player assumes the role of an administrator supported by two AIs named Angela and Sephira. The conversations with both beings serve as a means of pushing the story forward. MechanicsLobotomy Corporation – Monster Management Simulation is a strategy game that is reminiscent of This War of Mine or Fallout Shelter. The player receives a task to mine energy from “anomalies” and take care of his subordinates’ safety. Your mission will see you study each one of the monsters and choose personel and means of action that are best suited to your current objective. It should be mentioned that the amount of energy generated by each monster is determined by the conditions it is currently in. However, that is not the end of the story: the monsters are very dangerous. Some of them are not interested in being a generator and attempt to free themselves using a wide range of abilities e.g. mind control. An escaped monster means chaos and problems that lead to further complications (and even more chaos). Trouble means less morale, which may lead to disobedience. Sometimes, quelling the rebellion may require … destroying a part of the complex. Game ModesLobotomy Corporation – Monster Management Simulaton is a single-player only game.
