More than a year after the release of Monster Hunter 4, the producers of Monster Hunter 4 have decided to show players a customized version of Ultimate (in Japan known as Monster Hunter 4G). The game belongs to one of the flagship action-RPG series by Capcom, launched in 2004 on PlayStation 2, and its subject matter is a broadly understood fight against monsters. In the fourth part of the cycle we move back to the already known fantastic universe, in which human settlements are constantly harassed by beasts of various ointments. Unlike the previous games of the series, the core of which was pure action this time the authors have tried to have a more extensive plot. In Monster Hunter 4 we play the role of a mercenary, travelling around the world with a caravan. As you can easily guess, it is him who takes on a series of dangerous tasks in the game, which is to defend people from bloodthirsty monsters. This time, however, our protagonist will have to take care of the safety not of one but a few villages, where he will meet dozens of NPCs during the journey. The Monster Hunter series belongs to the broadly understood genre of action RPGs, although elements of RPG games such as the extensive storyline or character development system have been pushed into the background here. The essence of the game is fighting our hero takes on dozens of tasks, such as killing a group of monsters (or one larger reptile), defending the settlement or collecting a certain number of items. For completing tasks we receive gold and experience points, thanks to which our character is promoted to a higher and higher level. Traditionally, we have at our disposal a huge number of armour and weapons, divided into several main categories. A novelty in the fourth part of the cycle is the system of grabbing opponents, borrowed from another game Capcomu Dragon's Dogma. Compared to the standard edition of the game, the authors focused on expanding the model of character movement. With more manoeuvres, both vertically and laterally, it is much smoother and more effective. It also allows you to develop completely new combat strategies. The second improvement is the introduction of multiplayer games also via the Internet. So far, the game has only enabled cooperation in the local network.
