Game description:
Ion was supposed to be a science-fiction-based space MMO game inspired by the iconic RPG Space Station 13. RocketWerkz studio, founded by a former Bohemia Interactive employee and the creator of the famous DayZ, Dean Hall, was responsible for creating the game. The title was developed in cooperation with Improbable, a technology company. The action of the game took place in the distant future, when humanity finally managed to reach the stars. According to the author's intention, Ion was supposed to be not only a game but a constantly changing universe, in which players live, build and die in the area of structures drifting in space. The production was focused on online gameplay, but unlike most typical MMO games, it was supposed to offer quite an extensive narrative as well. Thus, apart from typical sandbox elements, an intriguing scenario played an equally important role in the game.
