The problem with the correct numbering of the series with the addictive Larry Laffer in the title role is that it lacks the game with the number "4". Chronologically two years after Leisure Suit Larry 3: Passionate Patti in search of pulsating breasts Sierra On-Line released Larry 5: A wave of love. The fourth game, which has never seen the light of day, is shrouded in legend. The creator of the series revealed, however, that it was produced for multiplayer mode via Sierra Network, which, however, ended in total failure. Eventually a few unused ideas came to Larry 5: A wave of love. The confusion with the abandoned production was also used to create the plot of Larry's new adventures. After the events presented in the finale of the third game from the series, the main character took care of... creation of games. Unfortunately, his work was stolen by the mafia boss Julius Biggs, and the author himself fell into depression ending in total amnesia. After this failure, the low-elas-failurer began his career in the porn industry. The heads of the film studio commission him to find three attractive candidates for the new TV show "America's Sexiest Home Videos". When Larry gets to know the charms of New York, Miami and Atlantic City, his girlfriend Patti is recruited to the FBI and starts investigating subliminal messages encoded in the lyrics. Larry 5: Wave of love is the first title in the series that uses the Sierra On-Line interface. Control in the game is done with the help of the mouse cursor and a set of icons, representing such actions as: "See", "talk" and "use". The action of the game takes place in two tracks and the player takes control of Larry and Patti's actions alternately. It is a development of a very praised idea from the third part of the cycle. In terms of difficulty of puzzles Wave of love belongs to relatively simple games. Much of this is due to the "untouchability" that the creators provided to the main characters. Larry and his beloved cannot be killed or imprisoned. From the audio-visual side the game looks solid. Compared to Leisure Suit Larry 3, the resolution of the graphics was raised and the number of colours increased from 16 to 256. Both the character images and locations were given a more cartoon character, which fits well with the not very sophisticated, but attractive humour of the plot.
